In the moment

In this moment, what is most important?

With the daily frustrations, busy lifestyles, desires of success, and the expectation to be and do everything, we sometimes forget what is most important at this moment.

Everyone has heard the sayings, "Live in the moment," "Live as if today could be your last." You don't know when your last day will be. Or the last day of your spouse, child, friend, mother or father.

When your child is whining, or you can't sleep because your child is sneaking into your bed at night, or your child makes the same mess every day, all day. When your husband leaves the seat up or his socks throughout the house. When your mother calls at the most inconvient moments--every day, your dad says the most insensitive things unknowingly, or your friend pops over unannounced all the time.

Remember to ask yourself this question, "In this moment, what is most important?" Is it to keep the house clean or enjoy the children? Is it to sleep or to cuddle with your child? If your husband passed, would the socks or the toilet seat matter? Maybe your friend finds comfort in you and loves being or feeling like a part of your family. Or just maybe, your mother needs YOU.

Today in the moments of frustration, ask yourself the question, "In this moment, what is most important?"

24 Things to Always Remember. . .and One Thing to Never Forget

Your presence is a present to the world.
You're unique and one of a kind.
Your life can be what you want it to be.
Take the days just one at a time.
Count your blessings, not your troubles.
You'll make it through whatever comes along.
Within you are so many answers.
Understand, have courage, be strong.
Don't put limits on yourself.
So many dreams are waiting to be realized.
Decisions are too important to leave to chance.
Reach for your peak, your goal, and your prize.
Nothing wastes more energy than worrying.
The longer one carries a problem, the heavier it gets.
Don't take things too seriously.
Live a life of serenity, not a life of regrets.
Remember that a little love goes a long way.
Remember that a lot . . . goes forever.
Remember that friendship is a wise investment.
Life's treasures are people . . . together.
Realize that it's never too late.
Do ordinary things in an extraordinary way.
Have heath and hope and happiness.
Take the time to wish upon a star.
And don't ever forget . . .For even a day . . .How very special you are.

Lesson Of The Day

What you need to know about the past is that no matter what has happened, it has all worked together to bring you to this very moment. And this is the moment you can choose to make everything new. Right Now!

This is one of the most important principles of letting go and moving forward.

Love Your Body

Begin by saying "hello" to your body.

Now tell it: "I love you." - That’s right "I love you".

Think about it - you wouldn’t have a life here without it!
And now say " thank you".
Those 3 little phrases have just sent healing messages all through your body. And if you smile also, endorphines (calming hormones secreted by the brain) will bring even more healing energy into your system. Your body is a river of energy - ever flowing, oscillating energy. Take a moment to feel that - notice your miraculous beating heart - feel the pulsations throughout your body. Feel the inside of yourself - Imagine that every cell in your body is smiling - dancing to your own unique rhythm. The thoughts you feed your body are impacting it constantly. Decide on a healthy mental diet, regardless of your current life situation.

Practice Quiet

What would you learn about yourself from practicing quiet for 7 consecutive days?

Quiet would be defined by NO television, NO radio, NO newspapers, and NO movies...

This was an amazing experience as I completed this a few weeks ago. Try this for 1 week and don't give up.

Go ahead and write or journal your experiences down and find out what you would learn about yourself as it may surprise you.

Working Out.....Just Start!

I have found a simple solution to this whole working out and getting back in shape thing.

For years, many of us including myself, have all of these brilliant ideas of how we are going to finally get in shape.

We will join a new gym, purchase personal home equipment, purchase many books on health and fitness, and talk to anyone who will listen on how we will become healthier and change our bodies.

That is the problem......It is all just thought and talk without any action.

The answer is to "just start", and these are the only points you need to know.

1. Write down the exact day you will start.
2. Write down the exact time you will start.
3. Choose where you will work out and what you will do. This could be as simple as walking around the block.

That's it. You will be off and running. Just do something!!!!!!!!!

I encourage everyone to make this simple, not to overthink how we will get in shape.

Write it down, start, and you may never look back.
